WHO WE ARE

Established in 2011, the Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations in becoming transformtive partners in the development of economies. UNDP’s ICPSD is the result of a partnership with the Government of Turkey. ICPSD’s operations include research, advocacy, facilitation of public-private dialogue and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

The Center’s work to engage foundations and the private sector focuses on delivering policy advisory and technical services in four Thematic Areas:

ICPSD also provides the framework for UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations issues through the UNDP’s Private Sector Development and Partnerships Strategy 2018-2022.

ICPSD supports the private sector and foundations to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their decision making and operational practices. This makes them the key stakeholders in accomplishing the SDGs. The Center hosts five Global Initiatives:
